Autumn on the Farm: Where Pasture Meets Plate

Blog

Hello friends and neighbors,

I'm so excited to share something special we have planned here at R&B Rhyne Farms this autumn! Rex and I have been working hard to put together an event that truly captures what our farm is all about – quality food, sustainable practices, and bringing our community together.

Come Experience Our Farm Story

When Rex and I first made the move from urban life to our little corner of Angier, we never imagined we'd be hosting farm dinners years later! What started as an escape to rural living with just some chickens and a garden has grown into something we're truly passionate about sharing with all of you.

Our "Autumn on the Farm - Where Pasture meets Plate" event is our way of opening our gates and our hearts to show you exactly how we raise the beef, pork, and chicken that many of you have come to love. It's one thing to buy our meat at the Growers Market on Saturday mornings – it's another thing entirely to see the animals grazing in our pastures and hear the story behind every bite.

Why This Evening Will Be Special

Being named Harnett County Farm Family of the Year in 2023 was such an honor, and it reminded us how important it is to share what we've learned about sustainable farming. When you come to our farm, you're not just getting an evening out – you're becoming part of a movement toward more sustainable, local food systems.

This isn't just about the food (though our pasture-raised meats paired with autumn flavors will be incredible!). It's about understanding where your food comes from, meeting the hands that raise it, and seeing firsthand how farming can heal the land rather than harm it.

The Roost Experience

We'll be hosting everything at The Roost, our multipurpose space designed specifically for bringing people together. Whether we're sharing farming knowledge during the tours or gathering around the bonfire as the evening winds down, The Roost provides the perfect backdrop for an authentic farm experience.

Join Us for an Unforgettable Evening

Space is limited because we want this to feel intimate and personal – just like having dinner with family. Which, in a way, you are! Our farm family has grown to include so many wonderful customers who have become friends over the years.

Ready to join us on Thursday, October 16? You can register on our Eventbrite page. Come hungry for good food and curious about sustainable farming – we'll take care of the rest!

If you've been thinking about visiting the farm, or if you've been buying our products and want to see where they come from, this is the perfect opportunity. Rex and I can't wait to welcome you to our piece of paradise here in Angier.

Hope to see you around our bonfire!

Beth and Rex
