About the Farm
What began as an escape from Urban life to a more rural area slowly developed into a passion for sustainability and creating a healthy environment to call home. Starting slowly with chickens and gardening we have grown into raising beef cattle, pasture raised pork and chicken plus free range eggs. As we have grown we are now able to share our "goodness" with others on a broader scale. Our mission is simple, to provide quality food for our family and others. We strive to give back to the earth through the use of farming techniques that build the soil such as rotational grazing and silvopasture.

Rex & Beth
Rex retired after many years in retail. As an NC native, he is supportive of buying local and creating partnerships with the county Agriculture Extension agencies. Rex's Great grandfather raised heritage breed pigs and three more generations now follow that path. His work now is devoted to daily chores around the farm and providing daily "farm training" for our grandsons Adam, Grant and Warren in our version of Poppi Daycare.
Beth retired from a career in Public Education where she served as a Middle/High School Science Educator and HS Administrator. Her strengths include connecting with people and anything Rex does not want or like to do.
Tanner, Megan, Adam, Grant & Warren
Tanner is the youngest of our three sons. He manages the pork side of the operation. It is currently his part time occupation as he commercially farms soybeans and turfgrass. He has shared his love with raising hogs with his wife Megan and sons Adam, Grant and Warren.
